will.i.am.

But he's also recognised as a musical genius.

And recently, the rapper revealed his winning formula 
that he claims will help The Voice contestants make it big - during and 
beyond the show.

The musician put it all down to 'pattern matching' during 
an interview with news.com.au.

'Seeing what works in this country versus what works in another country.

The artist also emphasised the importance of the connection between coach and artist.

So far, the 39-year-old seems pretty impressed with the Australian talent.

'The fricking singers here are mental banana, yes, yes, yes.com,' he said.

And the fate is sealed for one lucky Aussie contestant.

'I took Leah on tour with me in the UK and Europe, connected her with all the Grammy folks then I set up sessions 
with all the top writers. I want to do the same for somebody else here,' he said.

producer (he's pictured alongside The Voice coaches Joel Madden, Kylie Minogue and 
Ricky Martin)

Will.i.am has produced music for big names including Michael Jackson, Justin Bieber, Britney Speas, Miley 
Cyrus, U2, Rhianna and Lady Gaga. And the list goes on.

So there's no denying that he knows what he's talking about.

The star also has seven Grammy Awards under 
his belt and is the founding member of hiphop band The 
Black Eyed Peas.
